Key Stage 5

To study A Level Mathematics students need to have attained at least a Grade B in Mathematics at GCSE.


Students follow the Edexcel course and take two core Mathematics modules (C1 and C2) which include the study of Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Sequences, Trigonometry and Calculus.  Students also take a Statistics module which includes the study of Representation and Summary of data, Probability, Correlation, Regression, Discrete Random Variables and the Normal Distribution.


Students further develop their core maths in C3 and C4 and then chose to study either a second Statistics module or a Mechanics module.
