How to Apply
Applications for admission in Year 7 should be made via Essex County Council, Planning & Admissions Department by the closing date published in the Secondary Education in Essex booklet. For further details visit www.essex.gov.uk/admissions. Information should also be available via your child’s Primary School.

If your child is presently in Years 7-11 and you wish to apply for a place at our school, applications should be made directly to Hylands School using the Application Form found in the document section of this page.
If we are able to offer a place to your child, an admission meeting will be arranged where we can provide you with detailed information regarding our school. A formal admission date will be agreed at this meeting and all required information forms completed with you.
Should we be unable to offer your child a place at the time of your application, we would be pleased to place your child on our waiting list following receipt of your written request to do so.
6th Form Admissions
The intended number of admissions for Year 12 in September 2016 is 110.
