Wild Forest Gym Trip April 2017

The first week of the term, after Easter, saw Hylands School take 15 students from their after school fitness club to Wild Forest Gym. The trip took the students into the woods where they put to test their team-work, fitness and adaptability. The aim was to take the students out of their comfort zone, increase interest in physical exercise and the enjoyment of sport as well as creating a team work environment where every individual had to play their part.

Please see below some of the photos showing the group (aged 11-16) climbing over obstacles such as walls and cargo nets whilst navigating their way across cross-country tracks, pools of mud and through/over walls of tyres.

Overall the team did extremely well completing two hours of near constant fitness and tutorials giving them a well earned alternative evening to blow off some steam.
