We work closely with two providers for teacher training; TKAT SCITT and Mid- Essex Initial Teacher Training (MEITT). We have an excellent range of support on offer for the teachers that train at Hylands. If you are interested in becoming a teacher please contact the providers directly using the links below.
The TKAT SCITT Teacher Training scheme is a highly successful school-based Initial Teacher Training programme which was judged as Good in all aspects by Ofsted in June 2014. We offer high quality training through our partnership of primary and secondary schools in South East England.
We have a very high employment rate for our Newly Qualified teachers, indeed many have gone on to successful careers within the TKAT Teaching School Alliance.
