Applications for admission in Year 7 must be made direct to the Local Authority by the closing date published in the Secondary Education in Essex booklet. For further details to Essex County Council school admissions visit the Link www.essex.gov.uk/admissions.
Applications for September 2021 must be made between 12th September 2020 and 31st October 2020.
It is the responsibility of parents to make an application for their child’s secondary school place. It is not necessary to wait to receive an application form or a letter before you apply.

Applications for Mid-year admissions can be made throughout the year, to apply you will need to complete the below application form and send it in to Hylands School.
After we have processed your application you will receive a letter stating whether your application has been accepted or rejected. If your application has been accepted you will be given details of a meeting where you will come and meet your child’s head of year to discuss when they will start at Hylands.
