  • ACL’s Parent Ambassador programme aims to improve the lives of families living in Essex. Parent Ambassadors will volunteer in schools and community venues, whilst developing new skills to support others. Through the programme, Parent Ambassadors will be able to positively influence families to engage with learning opportunities, improve wellbeing, and raise aspirations.

This is a pilot scheme for parents, grandparents or carers who have children that attend schools in the Basildon, Colchester, Tendring and Harlow area.

  • Gain experience that can lead to information, advice and guidance related employment
  • Gain key skills to support others
  • Build your confidence, experience and knowledge supporting others in the community
  • Training and day to day support provided

  • Essex County Council have launched the Evolve project, an exciting new project, which is designed to support Essex residents who are unemployed, and whose employment and training prospects have been affected by COVID-19. The project provides FREE one to one support to residents via an advisor who can help them into employment, training and personal development opportunities. The service is available until the end of March 2022 and is funded by Essex County Council and being delivered in partnership with Essex Adult Community Learning and Enable East.

The Evolve project offers a team of highly experienced advisors working across the County,  to provide free information and advice and help residents navigate their way through the available information. The advisors can refer residents to local services and, social groups, well-being and mental health recovery courses and employment and training opportunities. You can speak to an advisor in a convenient way for you, over the phone, video call or in person.
