April marks the start of Stress Awareness Month!

Did you know that Stress Awareness Month has been held every April since 1992?

The campaign was started to increase public awareness about both the causes and cures for our modern stress epidemic.
Millions of people experience high levels of stress everyday, which can be damaging to our health and wellbeing. Individually, we need to understand what may be causing it and find ways to support ourselves in reducing that stress.
The theme for this year’s Stress Awareness month is ‘Regaining Connectivity, Certainty and Control’ and you can get involved by taking part in the ‘30 Day Challenge’.

The ‘30 Day Challenge’ encourages you to pick one action for your Physical, Mental and Emotional Wellbeing to carry out every day. Considering it takes 30 days to turn actions into habits, this challenge will maximise your chances of turning useful knowledge and techniques into positive behavioural change.

You can find more resources on: https://www.stress.org.uk/30daychallenge/ – whether you decide to take part in the ‘30 Day Challenge’ or another stress reducing activity… perhaps a digital detox? you can get involved in learning what steps work for you personally!

Join in with the online discussion, and tell us what you are doing for Stress Awareness month this April, tagging us @TKATAcademies and using the hashtag #StressAwarenessMonth
