Year 9 have been exploring Frankenstein by Mary Shelley in Drama lessons this term! Students have watched the National Theatre’s version of Frankenstein, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the monster. They have had the chance to create their own costume, hair and makeup designs using bin liners, tape and string. In the upcoming weeks students will have the opportunity to create their own set design for ‘Frankenstein’s Lab’ using different materials such as shoeboxes, cardboard, tissue paper and much more! This is a fun, creative and imaginative way to explore the gruesome horror story of Frankenstein.
Check out these pictures of the costume, hair and makeup and set designs so far!
