Careers Guidance Meetings – Year 11 and Year 13 Students
In order to continue our provision of high quality careers guidance for our students, Directions are now carrying out personalised Careers meetings via telephone. A careers meeting can help to explore ideas and options available, provide up to date information and advice on how to carry out further research, give realistic advice and practical help with CVs/applications, etc. All guidance takes place with highly experienced, qualified expert advisors. Appointments will take place by telephone on Wednesdays and will last between 20 and 45 minutes. Please complete the online form giving permission for a careers advisor to contact your child by and for them to attend a Careers meeting by telephone
Once we have received your permission, a careers advisor will be in touch to arrange an appointment. Although it is not essential, it is recommended that there is a parent/carer present at the time of appointment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Year 12 students to gain an insight into university through spending a week with one of 13 leading UK universities studying one of over 40 different subjects and meeting like-minded students from across the UK.
The Sutton Trust, is a charity that champions social mobility. Applications for our free university and apprenticeship summer schools are NOW OPEN!
The new Apprenticeship Summer School will allow students to explore degree-level apprenticeships as an alternative to university by attending interactive skills sessions and networking with top employers like Accenture, PwC and Coca-Cola EP.
Students will be supported—either in-person or online
Last summer, over 6,000 young people benefitted from our summer schools and digital platform, and we want your students to be next. Summer school students gain confidence and the skills to navigate the Higher Education system and make informed choices about their future. You can see how students in your region have benefitted from our programmes on our Impact Hub.
Despite being online, the other students and I were able to work extremely well together—taking part in games, quizzes and much more. I completed the programme feeling that I had been extremely productive.
