International Womens Day
On Wednesday 8th March, Year 7’s took part in 20-minute workshops that looked at period products and how they are used.
Students were really engaged and asked some fantastic questions. At the end of the session, students were given a pack of period products for them to use.
At break and lunch, students from other year groups were able to attend a pop-in session where they could pick up free period products and ask advice or questions about periods.
A bake sale was run alongside the pop-in session, raising money for the charity, “Bloody Good Period” – they supply items to refugees, asylum-seekers, and those who can’t afford or access them. As a school, we raised over £50!
