Celebrating Success at the Jack Petchey Awards Evening

Jack Petchey HeaderOn Tuesday 8th July, four of our exceptional students—Basil, Freddie, Rose, and Amelia—were honoured at the Jack Petchey Achievement Awards Evening for Chelmsford and Maldon Schools, held at the Chelmsford Theatre.

The ceremony, which began at 7:30pm, celebrated the dedication, resilience, and positive contributions of young people across the region. It was a proud moment to see our students recognised on such a prestigious stage, surrounded by other inspiring achievers from local schools.

Each of our award winners was nominated by their peers for demonstrating outstanding resilience, responsibility, and commitment to school life—embodying the very best of our school values:
✔️ Be Responsible
✔️ Be Respectful
✔️ Be Resilient

As part of their award, each student received up to £300 in funding through the Jack Petchey Foundation. In a heartwarming show of generosity and school spirit, they chose to donate their funds to departments such as PE, Technology, and Art, ensuring their achievements will have a lasting impact on the wider school community.

We are incredibly proud of Basil, Freddie, Rose, and Amelia—not just for their awards, but for the example they set every day. Their success is a testament to their character and a reflection of the values we strive to instill in all our students.

This evening of celebration highlighted the importance of recognising and uplifting young people, and we are thrilled to be part of the Jack Petchey Foundation’s mission to do just that.

Congratulations once again to our winners!
