Co-curricular

At Hylands School, we aim to foster personal growth, teamwork, discipline, and new interests that extend beyond our core academic curriculum. Our comprehensive extra-curricular program is designed to support the physical, creative, and social development of every student.  We actively strive to instill the Hylands Habit of respect for peers, staff and the wider community in every activity we offer.

We are committed to providing a broad and engaging range of activities.  This typically includes multiple sports clubs, a vibrant selection of creative arts activities such as the yearly school musical, choir, dance and drama clubs, and various academic enrichment opportunities, including our STEM club.  Furthermore, we offer valuable leadership schemes such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, the student council, and the Hylands Helpers scheme.

Students are strongly encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities and commit fully to their chosen activities.  While engaging in these activities, students must maintain the school's high standards of behaviour, demonstrating the Hylands Habits of respect and acting responsibly for their attendance and involvement.  Importantly, this active participation is key to becoming more resilient when trying new activities.
