Black History Month

Here at Hylands, we have been proud to celebrate Black History Month. 

Across the entire school or students have had assemblies led by Mrs Twumasi, focusing mainly on the contribution of black British individuals to the United Kingdom . Our curriculum has been adapted over time to include Black Authors, heros and history to educate our school. Students have been able to try an Afro Beats Dance class each week through the month as well as themed food in the canteen.

We are a school that is proud to have equality, diversity and inclusion for all of our community.
