The Business Department’s vision is dynamic and relevant, with courses designed to challenge, motivate, and prepare students for further study and future career pathways in business and beyond.
The Business Department is committed to equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to actively engage with and critically understand the dynamic world of business and economics. Students are encouraged not only to observe what is happening in the global and local business environment but also to explore the underlying reasons, motivations, and consequences of business activity.
GCSE Business
Our approach is both forward-thinking and practical. The GCSE Business course is intellectually stimulating and closely aligned with the realities of the modern workplace. Through real-world case studies, current events, and interactive learning, students gain insights into how businesses operate and the impact they have on society and the economy.
Students are expected to apply their knowledge in practical ways through hands-on activities. For example, they may explore and develop an idea for a small enterprise, conduct research, and present a business pitch. These opportunities allow them to build confidence, develop professional skills, and gain valuable insight into the world of work.
